Pastor Paul Klopke grew up in St. Charles, IL; attended Concordia University Chicago, River Forest, IL; and received his Master's of Divinity from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, MO. As part of his seminary training, Pastor Paul served for a year as the vicar (student pastor) of Timothy Lutheran Church in Council Bluffs, IA. Following his ordination in the pastoral ministry, Pastor Paul served for six years as the pastor of two parishes in Southern Illinois. Prior to serving congregations as a pastor, Pastor Paul served three years as a Lutheran grade school teacher, St. John’s La Grange, IL; and three years as a Director Christian Education, St. Luke Montgomery, IL.

Pastor Paul was installed as the pastor of Living Christ Lutheran Church, May 1997.
Pastor Paul is married to Julie (nee' Streit) Klopke and they have two children (Philip and Jillian). Golf, basketball, and volleyball are some of his favorite sports, but his great passion is telling people about the love and forgiveness that we have in Christ Jesus.
A few words from Pastor Paul:
Living Christ is a congregation filled with many, special, caring people who truly do radiate the love of Jesus Christ. Living Christ is also a congregation with a strong commitment to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) and the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:34-40) mandated by our Lord Jesus. Living Christ’s mission statement is: “We are Christ’s disciples, to multiply disciples.” We would love to have you come and join us in worship and/or our WEEE (Worship, Evangelizing, Encouraging, and Equipping) small groups. I am sure that if you come to Living Christ even once, you'll want to come back again and again.
