Women in Action

Light Summer Reading Schedule

Women are invited to our summer Christian fiction book club.  You may attend one or all of the evenings.  Just read your book, and come to church for a relaxing summer afternoon or evening discussion and fun.  Books may be purchased online at christianbooks.com, amazon.com, barnesandnobel.com, or at your Christian book store.  Several may also be available in your local library.
All events will be at the church.

This Present Darkness by Frank Peretti

Monday, July 26 - Noon and Wednesday, July 28 - 7:30  PM
Jerusalem Vigil by Bodie & B. Thoene

Monday, August 16 - Noon and Wednesday, August 18 - 7:30  PM
Rose House by Tina Ann Forkner

And the Shofar Blew is the story of a young pastor discovering what it takes to build a successful church.

This Present Darkness is an intense look at the angels and demons around us and the power of prayer in a small New England town.

Jerusalem Vigil is historical fiction, a story set in the 1948 war in Jerusalem.  A rabbi is sent into the tunnels to protect an ancient library and begins to read the scrolls.  First in a series.

Rose House uses a touch of suspense to tell the story of a woman in California dealing with the death of her husband and child.

Meetings are the 2nd Monday of each month
We are a friendly group of ladies of all ages that meet together to enjoy each others company and work on projects.

Some of the projects we have done during the last year are planning the church rummage sale in November ‘09. Then we had a great evening of fun making Christmas gift jars.   We filled mason jars with the necessary dry ingredients to make cookies or soups. These make great Christmas gifts.

 Prayer Shawl Ministry
Thursdays 1:00 PM.

This group has kept busy during the winter months knitting and crocheting while enjoying Christian fellowship.  The group is made up of experienced knitters and crocheters who enjoy helping you freshen your skill or learn some new skill.  Please consider joining us for an afternoon of fellowship.

Recently the group has donated some of their prayer shawls and baby blankets to New Moms.  This is a group that helps moms are the most at risk homeless and pregnant.  Check out more at www.newmomsinc.org.
