Here at Living Christ Lutheran Church, we believe being in the Word is an important part of our growth as Christians. There are many opportunties for you to investigate how God speaks to us through the Bible.
Each of the six Bible studies is crafted especially for men, and provides biblical answers, relationship-building discussion questions, fun activities, and character-building insights from the life of Super Bowl XLI Winning Head Coach Tony Dungy.
Traveling Light
Based on Psalms 23, this study will be about laying down the burdens of life and submitting to the Good Shepherd. We will share Max Lucado's humor and wise counsel so that we are free to share grace, offer comfort and help lift the loads of others.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
Women of all ages work on knitting and crocheting projects as a ministry to others. Shawls can "wrap, comfort, enfold, cover, give solace, mother, hug, shelter, and beautify". Each session begins with devotions and prayer.
Too Busy Not to Pray
Bill Hybel’s book Too Busy Not to Pray has for 20 years helped Christians be drawn nearer to God. Using the ACTS formula (adoration, confession, thanksgiving, and supplication) Bill offers advice and insights. There is also a new chapter on pray and justice.
Finger Pickin
This group gets together to practice guitars. They learn from each other and share songs and techniques, showing the fun Christians can have with music. Gatherings are for experienced and beginning finger pickers!
Topics of Interest to Young Women
Young women meet with Barb Steffens and choose Biblical topics based on current interests, i.e.: handling anger, forgiveness, fellowship, creation.
Engaging the Culture
This current issue Bible study for men will explore our relationship with today's American culture. What does it really mean to be in the world but not of it? Do we have answers for misconceptions about Christianity? How do we maintain a vibrant faith in the midst of conflict, consumerism and clutter?
40 Days of Love
"40 Days of Love", by Rick Warren, is a video series designed to bring new health and richness to participants' marriages, families and friendships. This class will show us how we can value relationships and love as Jesus loved us.
Jesus, The One and Only
Then Lunch Bunch is going through a study by Beth Moore called Jesus, the One and Only based on the book of Luke. We are shown an intimate Savior as the author gives us an up-close and personal portrate of His life on earth.
Together with Jesus
Julie leads the parents of infants and toddlers in how to bring Jesus into their lives. It gives parents a time to share their feelings and ideas as they raise their children.
Hey God! Tell Me About Heaven
Heaven is hard for us to picture. We think of floating on clouds, singing praises and playing harps, or walking on streets of gold. While we know we want to go to heaven, we are a little nervous about what it will be like. This WEEE group Bible study provides a biblical perspective on heaven – something richer and more exciting than we can imagine.
"Quiet Strength".
This book explores six tough questions men ask.
--What is my game plan?
--What is my strength?
--What is success?
--Where is my security?
--What is my significance?
--What is my legacy?
